Information Technology Competence as a Component of the Professional Competence of Translator

Abstract

This research paper discusses modern computer translation technologies: the basic principles of electronic dictionaries, automatic and automated translation systems, describes their advantages and disadvantages. The concepts of closed and open software, file formats are presented. Practical recommendations are given for the correct presentation of the results of work in electronic form and the use of the global Internet to improve the quality of translation.
